Join our Technical Assistance Roster

 

We are looking for skilled volunteers to assist graduates of Canopy’s entrepreneurship program, Plan It!, including:

  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks and manual systems

  • Marketing: Web design, social media, marketing plan, graphic design

  • Cash Flow Management: Cash flow systems, forecasting project trends

  • Legal consultation: Review contracts and various legal documents

  • Inventory control: Assessing & developing improved systems and technology

  • Financial Projection: Estimating revenues and expenses; expansion planning

  • Strategic Business Planning: Business analysis, state and city requirements, licensing and permitting

  • Business Mentors: Work with new entrepreneurs to advise and consult

At Canopy, our goal is to empower our graduates from the Entrepreneurship Program beyond their initial steps by providing comprehensive technical assistance for two full years after graduating from the Plan It! Program. We understand that the journey of a new business owner is dynamic, and filled with evolving needs and challenges.

Our dedicated team works closely with each entrepreneur, offering personalized support that's tailored to their unique business requirements. But we're not alone in this endeavor – we collaborate with business professionals from across Northwest Arkansas, individuals who generously share their skills and expertise as technical assistance providers.

As a Technical Assistance (TA) provider, you'll become a pivotal figure in the success story of these budding entrepreneurs. You'll guide them through the intricacies of business management, strategy, meticulous record-keeping, and accounting, as well as the intricate arts of marketing and branding, among other crucial areas. Your valuable expertise will empower these entrepreneurs to overcome obstacles, seize opportunities, and truly thrive in today's fiercely competitive market within Northwest Arkansas.
